Merry (late) Christmas and Happy (early) New Year to all!!
Just a quick update: I got home (after quite a long drive) the night of the 17th and I feel like I have been going non-stop ever since. That Wednesday my dad, my friend, and I drove down to LA to watch Trinity's mens basketball team play non-other than Azusa Pacific... we won't talk about how the game ended but it was great to watch my first TW b-ball game in my home state! The following Thursday I started working for my dad's marketing company - I know, Working on your vacation? you may ask, but my earnings will go toward my fun - I mean STUDYING next semester, so I suppose I'm ok with that. Christmas was a great time with the family. Although my older brother couldn't be there, he will be home from Moscow for a short vacation in January so it will be great to see him then. For Christmas eve we went to see Alvin and the Chimpunks - a movie that I think my dad (and perhaps everyone) could live with out... but those little squeeky voices just made my day! :)
Well, these past 2 weeks have flown by and I am now down to 22 days until my departure. I still cannot believe that I am actually doing this. Every time I think about everything I will be doing my stomach does a little flip and I remind myself that this is really REAL! I am so blessed to be able to do this and I look forward to sharing my journey with you.
I will do my best to keep you all up-to-date with my preparations for my departure on January 22nd.
Have a Happy New Year!!!

Other News
So, on another topic other than my upcoming trip - ITS SNOWING!! We woke up to about an inch or so and it has just been snowing all day since. Although I normally would be pretty much against snow and the cold, I actually don't mind it too much... YET! TWU is hosting "Spirit of Christmas" for the surrounding community and a lot of families come to see all the different activites on campus. It is fun to watch all the little kids (who look like they have about 500 layers on) try to play in the snow.
I only have 3 days of classes left, then finals, and then its back to California for Christmas. This semester has gone by so fast and I can't believe that I won't see all my friends for 9 months. It is not going to be easy to leave and I am truely going to miss everyone at T-Dub...
Oh, and happy late Thanksgiving to all the Americans! I celebrated by writing one of my many papers... 'tis the season, eh?
